About Us
Beartooth Signs & Design is a Bozeman-based architectural signage and environmental graphics studio serving Montana and the Mountain West.
Established in 1996, we bring three decades of experience to the design, fabrication, and implementation of custom signage, wayfinding systems, branded environments, and architectural graphics. Our work has been featured in industry trade publications, and our projects range from schools and campuses to resorts, commercial developments, and public spaces.
We collaborate with architects, designers, contractors, developers, and owners to turn design concepts into thoughtful, buildable solutions - from early design-assist and material development through fabrication and installation.

Architectural Signage
Custom interior and exterior signage designed to complement the architecture, materials, and character of a space.

Design-Assist & Implementation
We help take ideas from architectural drawings, mood boards, brand standards, or early concepts and develop the materials, details, fabrication methods, and installation solutions necessary to make them buildable.
Fabrication & Installation
Our in-house fabrication capabilities allow us to work across wood, aluminum, steel, acrylic, dimensional graphics, specialty finishes, and mixed-material assemblies. We also coordinate installation and specialty production when a project requires additional capabilities.

Our Approach
Good signage should feel like it belongs there.
We believe signage and environmental graphics are most successful when they are considered as part of the architecture rather than added to it afterward.
Our role is to bridge design and fabrication - understanding the original design intent while working through the practical details of materials, structure, code compliance, durability, budget, fabrication, and installation.
The result is a solution that looks intentional on paper and works in the real world.

The Bozeman Co-op designed a sign for the Yellowstone Bozeman Airport. Al at Beartooth Signs, beautifully converted the 2 dimensional file into a 3 dimensional sign that is stunning! Make sure you check out the sign next time your in the airport.
